5 out of 5 stars Perfect for traveling, unbeatable price!   April 22, 2010

We just finished traveling around the world, and I wish I'd seen this before we left! No, it's not a thorough language guide, but I just downloaded it to my iPhone and now have several phrases plus background information on pronunciation and grammar in 25 languages! We could've used it for Spanish, French, Arabic, Indonesian and Korean all in this one trip. For one cent (yes, that's what they billed my credit card!), I can't complain a bit.

4 out of 5 stars Helpfull, but could be improved.   March 16, 2010

We tested it while on holydays and it proofed usefull, especially if you already have a basic foreign language knowledge.
What we missed very much where foreign alphabets, like kiryllic for Russian!

5 out of 5 stars Only one cent! Excellent!   February 23, 2010

At this price, such a bargain and worth alot more.
How could anyone give this one star and say that it's "worthless"?
The description clearly states what the book contains. I don't see anything that says that it teaches you a language. there is no reason for a bad rating.

4 out of 5 stars World Travel   February 13, 2010

Very good product for the world traveller. Common Phrases / basics covered, pronoune words by using phenetics which is good for those who dont know or understand the 'alphabets' good for the occasional user, good introduction. Was looking for something to cover Russian Language.Easy Russian Phrase Book: Over 690 Basic Phrases for Everyday Use (Dover Easy Phrase Books)

3 out of 5 stars Kindle version well worth $.01 price paid.   January 13, 2010

The information is presented in an OK way for navigating around in on the Kindle. If a person has other hand-held display devices then a visit to [...] is order. This information is available for many different types of PDA's and cellphones.

Another interesting factoid is that a lot of the text for this phrase book was taken from Wikipedia (with donations given to Wikipedia in return) I found some of the information at [...] (language)
and inserting the language of interest in place of Spanish. Scroll down a bunch.

Now I am off to try and impress the Estonian coffee shop owner with my new found language skills.
