Product Description
You can count on Rick Steves to tell you what you really need to know when traveling in Ireland.
With this guide, you can explore lively Dublin, quaint Kilkenny, and the moss-draped ruins of the Ring of Kerry. Navigate meandering back roads that lead to windswept crags on the dramatic Dingle Peninsula. Explore Ireland’s revered past by following St. Patrick’s footsteps to the Rock of Cashel. Marvel at Newgrange, the mysterious mound older than the pyramids; then connect with today’s Irish culture by grabbing a pint at the local pub, enjoying the fiddle music, and jumping into conversations that buzz with brogue.
Rick’s candid, humorous advice will guide you to good-value hotels and restaurants. He’ll help you plan where to go and what to see, depending on the length of your trip. You’ll get up-to-date recommendations on what is worth your time and money. More than just reviews and directions, a Rick Steves guidebook is a tour guide in your pocket.

Ireland 2010 by Rick Steeves August 22, 2010 AJ (Maryland) I checked this book out of the local library and was so impressed that I ended up buying my own copy from Amazon so that I could mark it up with notations and highlighting. It was very useful in planning a recent trip to Ireland and as a reference while I was there. The&B's that are listed in this book are mostly in the cities/town centers while I was looking for ones more "out of the way" so these recommendations weren't too useful. I took the "Dingle Peninsula" self guided tour in this book and it was very good. I can only surmise that occupants of several other vehicles also had Rick Steeves' book since they seemed to be on the same tour and making the same stops! It is a worthwhile investment for anyone spending the money to make a trip to Ireland.
Great information. August 5, 2010 Nancy Robbins (Poinciana, FL, US) We will take this book with us when traveling to Ireland. Steves' books are always up-to-date and very informational.
Navigator August 3, 2010 Michael Naughton I am in Ireland as we speak. This book is a great resource. Lots of information in readily accessible format.Would also recommend getting a GPS if you plan on driving

Got to love Rick Steves!!! May 15, 2010 Kimberle King (Hollywood, CA) I travel A LOT to Europe and I don't ever make a trip without consulting Rick Steves first! I have read most travel guides out there and Rick's is by far the best! I lived in Italy and still read Rick's book to get recommendations on where to stay and eat when I visit! He should be your only choice!
