| Customer Reviews: For beginners and advanced July 5, 2010 Matthew Dutile (Phoenix, AZ) Photo Trekking is a very well paginated and simple to read book on commercial travel photography. I found it exceptionally informational on both advanced practices (pre and post production, branding, selling) and simple tips to look out for including composition, movement, focus, etc. The photography is stylistically unique and different than most classical travel books you will find. It's a great read for the new age of personal vision and style and I highly recommend picking it up.
Mediocre images June 23, 2010 Dobay Ferenc (Göteborg, Sweden) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I agree, there are some helpful tips in the book. The pictures on the other side (most of them in my opinion)are more like snapshots. I don't really like his compositions and use of light. He demonstrates at least that with proper contacts and advertisements you can sell everything.
Good photography guide May 13, 2010 G. Hitchen (Florida, USA) There are some helpful tips in this book. I like that it includes the camera/lens settings for each shot (as I believe all such books should) and things like equipment checklist and travel tips. The book is well laid-out, organized and visually stimulating, with plenty of nice compositions and well edited images. It's the kind of book you could throw in your carry-on and take with you on your next vacation, then use as a guide to capture some great images, not the regular vacation snapshots we are used to seeing. Also some good tips on how to take photos and stay safe in unfamiliar and potentially dangerous locations. Definitely would recommend this book.
