Great dvd, portable, nice, excelent sound quality, light. Maybe is needed a usb port but it has a sd slot for sd card. In my opinion is all that I need.

The item is NOT black with silver trim as described. It is white. It has been 10 business days since the seller received the return and we are still waiting for the refund. Also, they will not give a full refund, so if you are looking for black, do not order this one.

The main bonus for this player is the SD card and divx support - it's the best player in this class that has it from what I could find. Only thing I really wanted to point out is that the only part that is black w/ silver trim is the screen bezel - the rest of the case is white. no biggie, just that the product title is misleading saying it's black w/ silver trim.
Update: After using this for a few days I found a couple cons:
1. SDHC cards are not supported which means no cards over 2GB.
2. There is no battery life indication.
If I had known #1 above, I would have went w/ the cheaper/better sony.

We bought this for our kids to watch while flying and it was a lifesaver. The picture can be seen from all angles and the sound is fine (you really have to be targeted in how you push the volume buttons). Also, you need to be sure that the disk is all the way in before you try to start it up. For the price it is a very nice product.

Like many people,I was a little put-off by the reviews that warned of noisy operation and the like. I did a lot of research and concluded that for this pricepoint,it was worth the risk to try it out. Boy,I am glad that I did! The unit is easy to setup and play. My test was to play a DVD with a great soundtrack. Loaded Beverly Hills Cop 1 and plugged my Sony Pro headphones into the unit. All I can say is "Simply Stunning" through the headphones. I have had this beauty for 6 months and have used it every day. Works great,although the startup noise is a fair,although minor complaint. Overall,while watching a DVD movie,if you are more than 12" away,the noise is not that noticable. If you have a decent pair of headphones,you will be more than happy with this unit.
