 Stopped working after one year August 27, 2010

Bought this DVD player about a year ago after one died that we had for 6 years. This one worked fine until it recently died on me. There are some problems with the design though, the line in switch easily gets hit and switched. When this happens it won't power on. Hard for my 7 year old to figure this out. The screen looked good for about 6 months, then is showed wear and tear, it seemed to rub on the inside and left a permanent mark on the screen. The power connector can get damaged easily, which is what I think my trouble is, the power cord should connect with a different type of connector and on the back which would keep it away from the other connectors and button. I would give it a better rating if it actually worked longer than one year. Now I have to buy another one only a year later.

When we bought this portable dvd player, we thought it might be great for the kids to watch their movies whenever we go on long trips. We never gave it to them. It is so beautiful and has such good quality, that we are the ones who use it. It is easy to use and has great quality. Not flimsy at all. Good product.

I placed an order for 2 of these DVD Players and the seller just suddenly and mysteriously cancelled my order with no explanation. Very, very bad customer service!!
We loved this at first but it didn't last long and the warranty is garbage! May 21, 2010

We loved this DVD player at first but unfortunately after about 3 months the screen started going blank but then seemed to resolve itself. The warranty would have involved us paying $33 for a refurbished model...we decided to just take our chances with what we had. About a week after the warranty was void the picture went out completely! Very disappointed about wasting $170 on this junk! :(
