 AN AWESOME DVD PLAYER July 19, 2010

This is the third DVD player that I have owned. The other 2 were just "OK", but this one was fantastic. Not only has it not skipped like my other two did, but the sound quality on this one is fantastic. The others we could hardly hear even with the volume turned up as high as they would go, but this one was hands down the best one. I bought it mainly to take on planes with me to watch movies and I'm glad I have it! Thumbs Up!

Nice looking DVD player with large 10inch screen. We purchased this unit because it was the biggest screen available and it comes with a car mount kit. The first trip we took we found that the included car mount kit does not work. it has a long plastic arm that extends from the head rest and has an adjustable viewing angle. The problem is the first bump you hit the viewing angle arm will fall down and it's next to impossible to fix without pulling over. We are now looking for a different car mount kit to use with this DVD player. So if you are buying this to put in your car don't expect to use the included mount kit.

I originally was not going to buy this product because it was refurbished. My husband convinced me it had so many more features than the one I picked out so I went ahead and ordered it. When it arrived I was so excited because I've been wanting something to play my 2 year old daughters DVD's in the car, not to mention it would be nice to use in the guest room when people visit. However, I am not sure this item will even work in the car at this point it can't even play a brand new DVD for more than 3 minutes without skipping or stopping while it is sitting still on the table.
First DVD I tried was one that came straight out of the package new and the machine made some horrible grinding sounds. After 3 minutes it the movie froze and stopped playing. So I thought maybe the disc was bad or scratched, so I pulled it out and checked. When I put it back in I tried a different scene and the problem happened sooner. I repeated my attempt to figure out why this "wonderful product" my husband wanted so badly just doesn't seem to work.
I am looking into any option I have to return the thing - it is not worth using at this point and I am incredibly disappointed. The first product I've bought through Amazon(or associated vendors) that I've felt this way about.

This product overall is pretty good, although, when I was looking at it initially I had chosen a "dual" screen of the exact same variety. Then got to the page where it allows you to chose a refurbished one at a discounted price I went for it. Well i recieved it and it ISN'T a dual screen. So to pay $130 for one screen and have it not be new.....I definitely think I could have done better. They should offer a refurbished item only if it's exactly the same. I DID even review my purchase believing it was exactly what I had wanted initially. Very frustrating!!

Excellent portable dvd player, excellent sound and excellent picture. Would recommend it to any one who want's a larger dvd portable for trips!
